A break at Midday
Sleeping is a classical and everyday topic in China, just as food is. An old story says that an emperor once fell asleep on purpose, during a conference, just to give his minister a chance to rigg some documents. Confucians would brand excessive sleep as immoral, while Taoists would tend to praise this non-activity.
No matter how you look at it - everyone needs a break, now and then. Even in a place as busy as the coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong Province, in Y2K.
